The organic pick your own strawberry field is beginning to slow down... plan on picking about 5 pounds (3 qts) in 20-30 minutes. We may be able to strech the harvest through the weekend. Stay tunes, or call for more info.

Picking hours: 7AM till sunset while the berries last.

Details: $2.00/lb

Containers: We strongly encourage you to bring your own containers. We do sell quart containers and flats if you need them. Quarts are $.05 each and flats are $1.00 each.

Dogs are not welcome.

Children must be supervised at all times.

Parking is on the Farm access road which you can enter off of Hanson Rd.

Directions to Broadturn Farm located at 388 Broadturn Road in Scarborough:

The farm is located at the intersection of Broadturn Rd and Rt.22. From Portland head west on Rt.22, turn left when you reach Broadturn Rd , and you are on the farm property. The woods eventually open up to fields. Continue to Hanson Rd , turn Right on Hanson to reach the parking area. From Dunstan Corner in Scarborough , take Broadturn Rd north to the farm-- the last property before hitting route 22. To avoid traffic from Portland take I-295 south to the Maine Mall/I-95N exit, veer right to Maine Mall/rt 114. Then, with mall in front of you, veer left, heading towards Payne Rd and signs for the airport. Turn left at the light onto Payne Rd. Follow to Holmes Rd. Turn Right on Holmes and follow for 3.9 miles. Turn right onto Broadturn Rd at the blinking red light. Continue for 2.4 miles and you are at the farm!

What can you do with a flat full of berries?

1. Start eating them in the car on the way home

2. Remove stem ends, rinse and freeze on a cookie sheet, then store in freezer bags for delicious winter eating

3. Make strawberry jam and enjoy the flavor of summer on your toast all year
