A wedding is an opportunity to share this vision of a regenerative world with your loved ones. Each event is unique, and crafted to honor the season and the bounty available. Your wedding will reflect your value of building local businesses and healthy ecosystems. It will honor your passion for delicious, seasonal food. We are committed to helping you create an event that meets your needs and that always maintains your deep sense of values with regard to the climate. We’ve hosted over 180 weddings and guarantee you can have a fabulous event, full of grace and deeply meaningful without making Greta Thunberg frown. Our family of clients stay in touch with us, visit the farm as their families grow, and the idea that we are part of their story makes our hearts sing.

Our season for event hosting runs from mid-May through mid-October.

Located 12 miles from Portland, ME, and 10 miles from the coast, convenient to I-95 and Boston, Broadturn Farm partners with local purveyors to ensure the menu you choose for your wedding reception honors the tradition of Maine foods. The flowers from our fields will grace every table and our produce will fill every belly.

    • Space for up to 210 guests in a tent outside (tent not included)
    • A 30x30 antique barn that can be used for a ceremony seating up to 120 guests, dancing, and cocktail hour festivities.
    • On-site parking and parking attendant to direct your guests
    • Multiple ceremony sites, including fields and the barn.
    • 8' long wooden ceremony benches seating up to 150 guests
    • 8' long wooden farm tables and chairs seating up to 150 guests
    • Getting-ready cabin with full bath, basic kitchen amenities and space to relax from Friday at 3PM to Sunday at 11AM. Sleeps 2.
    • Cafe lighting throughout barn and reception space
    • Ample electricity in the barn for catering, band, sound systems
    • Direction and guidance provided to your rental company/vendors when they arrive on site
    • Fire pit and lots of outdoor space!
    • Air conditioned bathroom building (3 stalls including ADA approved) 
    • Acres of flower crops and beautiful backdrops for family photographs
    • Access for set up and clean up all weekend.

    We work with you to ensure that your celebration is a reflection of your love, your life, and your values. The farm is at once a vision of our shared heritage and a proposal of a sustainable future. The beauty is universal, and a farm wedding is meaningful and memorable.

    Starting in 2019, we instituted a ZERO PLASTIC WASTE policy for our weddings. This means no single use plastics including plastic straws or cocktail stirrers, bottled water, plastic cups or serving ware. After 20 years in the event industry, we are done with big trips to the dump to unload wedding refuse. We are happy to help you plan an event that has limited waste and together we can all feel good about being part of the solution.

    Hosting your event at Broadturn Farm helps support local non-profit organizations whom we donate the space to on available Sundays. With your consent, tent rentals remaining on the farm from the weekend’s festivities may be used to benefit the organization’s meeting, fundraiser or event. 

    Also inquire about out flower donation program where we extend the bounty of table arrangements to area women's shelters.

  • Rental Details

    We schedule weddings for Saturday or Sunday from Memorial Day through September.

    The venue rental fee is $8,000 for the day.
    You are welcome to start as early as you'd like the day of, and you'll need to plan to end the festivities at 10 PM.

    Rental begins on Friday at 3PM and ends on Sunday at 11AM.

    Overnight cabin rental (sleeps 2) is available on Friday and Saturday nights, included in the price.


    We do not offer any additional overnight accommodations or camping for your guests.

    A 50% deposit is required to secure the venue.

    Please note: Rental of the farm for a wedding does not include tents, linens, or dinnerware. We are happy to provide you with vendor referrals.

Farm Venue

Our preferred caterers are all committed to creating a menu for your event that reflects seasonal, local ingredients, including those coming from the Maine coast. Hiring one of these caterers supports our local food community. In addition, they have superb front of house staff and many are able to manage day-of coordinating for your event.

While we do not require an event coordinator, we do suggest day-of coordination for gatherings over 100 guests. An event coordinator will ensure that your plans are managed with ease and grace, and most importantly with joy! Our preferred coordinators offer a variety of services:
